A trader, Sade Alade (not real name) has shared her complaints over the rejections of the old notes; a direct opposite of what the Supreme Court ruled on few days ago.

The Supreme Court had ordered to spend the old naira notes from the 3rd of March till December 31st, 2023 after the Presidential election had been held on February 25, 2023.

Sade, who plies her trade at Sango Otta, having read the announcement made by the Supreme Court, tried to spend the old naira notes but her efforts were futile.

She emphasized that people insisted to hear directly from the newly elected President and refused to listen to the announcement made by the Supreme Court.

She added that it has affected her because she sells food stuff to people and it was rejected at her supllier’s shop where she wanted to restock goods.

She urged the government and the newly elected President to give a backing statement concerning the Supreme Court’s order  in order to put everyone at ease.

She urged the government and the newly elected President to give his speech concerning this in order to put everyone at ease.
