Dapo Abiodun Appoints Dr. Mobolaji Onasanya as New Rector of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic

The Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed Dr. Mobolaji Onasanya as the new Rector of the institution. 

According to reports, Abiodun made the appointment recently after weeks of screening available candidates for the post.

Dr. Onasanya takes over from Dr Sherifat Akindele; the Acting Deputy Rector of the Polytechnic. 

Present at his presentation were members of the institution’s Governing Council, management staff, members of the  Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, (ASUP), Pressmen and other stakeholders.

The Chairman of the Governing Council, Her Excellency, Alhaja Salmat Badru expressed confidence in the new Rector, saying that the appointment of Dr. Onasanya was based on his outstanding qualifications and wealth of experience in higher education administration. 

She charged the new rector to work towards improving the quality of teaching, research and learning at the institution. 

Speaking at the event, Dr Sherifat Akindele congratulated Dr. Onasanya and expressed confidence that his wealth of experience will help take the polytechnic to greater heights. 

Dr. Onasanya thanked the Governor for finding him worthy of the appointment. He promised to build on the achievements of his predecessor by improving infrastructure, increasing student enrollment, enhancing staff development, and strengthening the polytechnic's relationship with the immediate community.
