Honourable Bolaji Odusanya Celebrates Second Year Anniversary, Commissions New Projects

Toheeb Shittu, Favour Mamora, Chantal Ayafor, Ibrahim Abbas The chairman of Ijebu-North Local Government Area, Honourable Bolaji Odusanya, held an event on Friday at the local government secretariat to mark his second year in office.  The event drew dignitaries from across Ogun State and celebrated the chairman's tenure over the past two years.  Among those in attendance were former senators, Senator Lekan Mustapha, former House of Reps Member; Honourable Abdul-majid Adekoya, and former Deputy Governor; Chief Mrs Yetunde Onanuga. Dapo Abiodun Appoints Dr. Mobolaji Onasanya as New Rector of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic

 Toheeb Shittu, Ibrahim Abbas The Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed Dr. Mobolaji Onasanya as the new Rector of the institution.  According to reports, Abiodun made the appointment recently after weeks of screening available candidates for the post. Dr. Onasanya takes over from Dr Sherifat Akindele; the Acting Deputy Rector of the Polytechnic.  Present at his presentation were members of the institution’s Governing Council, management staff, members of the  Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, (ASUP), Pressmen and other stakeholders. Trader Complains After Marketers Reject Old-Notes

  Ebunoluwa Adeyemi A trader, Sade Alade (not real name) has shared her complaints over the rejections of the old notes; a direct opposite of what the Supreme Court ruled on few days ago. The Supreme Court had ordered to spend the old naira notes from the 3rd of March till December 31st, 2023 after the Presidential election had been held on February 25, 2023. Sade, who plies her trade at Sango Otta, having read the announcement made by the Supreme Court, tried to spend the old naira notes but her efforts were futile. She emphasized that people insisted to hear directly from the newly elected President and refused to listen to the announcement made by the Supreme Court. She added that it has affected her because she sells food stuff to people and it was rejected at her supllier’s shop where she wanted to restock goods. Around the 1960s in the west, self-care and self-medication was regarded as unnecessary and potentially even unhealthy pratices. This paternalistic approach to medicine, supported by health systems designed to treat sickness remains a familiar aspect of health care in many countries to this day.
